Angular 1.2.4 and IE link issue

While working with Angular 1.2.4 and IE 9

The first question is:

Who is still using IE 9 

The answer is, that most of big companies I have heard about, that do not have to pay extra for supporting legacy IE 9.

 

Anyway the issue in hand, that I want to share with you.

<a href="#" ng-click="doSomeAction()">some action</a>

This code that does 'ng-click="doSomeAction()"' works in all newer version and execute behavior in brackets but ignores the  href="#"  in link.

 

Lets apply the old trick we use to apply in our jquery days:

<a href="javascript:void(0)" ng-click="doSomeAction()">some action</a>

The following "javascript:void(0)" denotes to javascript to igore the links and the redirection does not happen
